Floorz undertook a substantial project for Medtronic, a global medical technology company that develops and manufactures a wide range of products and therapies used to manage various medical conditions, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, neurological disorders, and more. Medtronic is known for its innovations in medical devices and technologies, aiming to improve patient outcomes and enhance the quality of life for people around the world.

Denver is one of Medtronic’s key locations for its operations and research in the medical field. The project encompassed three buildings, totaling nearly 900,000 square feet. The space included a mix of office areas, training and product testing labs, a commercial kitchen, and a café.

Challenges:

• Aggressive Schedule: The timeline was reduced to six months due to unforeseen delays and schedule changes.
• Complex Flooring Requirements: The project required remediation of extremely power-burnished slabs to ensure proper bond and warranty.
• Custom Installations: The polished concrete grand staircase was a notable challenge, demanding precision due to the timing and pour complexities.
• Product Customization: Collaborated closely with the client to value engineer lab specifications, ensuring alignment with budget and schedule constraints.
